Lower half of a tablet of unbaked clay inscribed in Ssumerian cuneiform of the late third millennium bc. the text is an administrative document concerning deliveries of milled flour and barley to various officials under supervision. No date formula is preserved, but script and other considerations show that this tablet belongs to the ur iii period, and that it dates to about 2000bc. It was once part of a large archive of related documents, and most probably comes from the ancient city of Umma, in what is now southern Iraq, comes with information.»
