Two cuneiform inscribed clay tablets
Sumerian, circa 2000 B.C.
One the fragmentary end of a large tablet, 2½in. (6.3cm.); the other illegible, 23/8in. (6cm.), the surface worn and pitted; three Egyptian pottery ostraca, one inscribed in black ink, the recto mentions sin and repentance, the verso contains the text, 'Until...each one comes forth... and he is taken to...', circa 550-650 A.D., 3in. (7.5cm.); another with alaphabetic script, from Syria or Palestine, 23/8in. (6cm.), and one with illegible very faint text, 2½in. (6.4cm.), circa 6th-8th Centuries A.D.; a fragment of a pottery amphora handle bearing a stamp, Mediterranean, circa 1st-2nd Century A.D., and a modern pottery cast of a real tablet, (from the 3rd Dynasty of Ur, from the second to third year of the reign of Shu-Sin), 2in. (5cm.), Not Ancient (7)
