«Small collection now on sale. It has an interesting provenance including a letter from the University of Michigan, dated April 29, 1952, from George G. Cameron, Chairman, Department of Near Eastern Studies.

"Cuneiform Documents in the possession of E.C. Freemark, Elmore, Ohio. The tablets were all rebaked and translated by Albrecht Goetze of Yale University.

Sumerian, Ur Dynasty, from Drehem. c. 2121 BC.
Record concerning the receipt of men, sheep and goats. "633 men, sheep (and) goats". From Naram-ili / Ur-nigin-gar. Rev.: received / Month 1 / Year Shulgi. 48.
With full hand-written transcription and translation from 1913. Measures 36x35x17 mm (1 3/8" x 1 5/16" x 1/2"). Freemark reference #1 with his numbered tag inked on edge.

Sumerian, Ur Dynasty, about 2140 BC.
Record concerning the receipt of […?]. (of) the garden of Shulgi-insina / From Sharakam / (as) delivery / [Ku]lia [re]ceived. Reverse: [lost]. Measures 38x30mm (1 1/2" x 1 3/16").

Sumerian, Ur Dynasty, about 2118 BC.
Record of animals expended for sacrifices. "1 female donkey, grain fed, 1 male goat (for) Enlil, 1 female donkey […..], 1 […..] calf (for) Ninlel, in […..]. Reverse: At royal expense, 26th day, were expended by Duggali. Through Dada, the sar-ra-ab-du, and Dugga, the oeconomus. Month 9, year Bur-Sin 5. Measures 45x38x17 mm (1 3/4" x 1 3/8" x 3/8" thick).

Sumerian, Ur Dynasty, probably from Drehem, about 2120 BC.
Record concerning outgoing animals. Date illegible. Measures 40x35x15 mm (1 9/16" x 1 5/16" x 1/2"). Surfaces mostly worn but cuneiform text visible.

Record concerning sheep. "1 gukkal sheep, 1 alum sheep, on the 25th day from Abba-shagga. Reverse: Uta-misaram took over, Month 3, year Bur-Sin 6.
Measures 29x29x13mm (1 1/8" x 1 1/8" x 1/2").

Provisions for messengers (Shu-Ishtar, Gi-nu-lum, x […..] and Ur-Sin). Month 7, the 4th day, Year Shu-Sin 3, from Umma. Measures 24x21x8 mm (7/8" x 13/16" x 5/16").
