Iraq, ancient Mesopotamia, ca. 1974 BCE. Very fine pottery biscuit used to capture an ancient transaction. The tablet is dated to month X of year 3 of King Shu-Suen of Ur. The tablet comes from the state-run livestock agency at Puzrish-Dagan. Translation is as follows: 1 lamb (from) Ur-nigar, 1 lamb Lu-azida, overseer, 10 aslum-sheep, grain-fed, 10 aslum-sheep, grass-fed, 1 lamb Inim-Nanna- , 10 aslum-sheep, grain-fed; 10 aslum-sheep, grass-fed, 1 sheep Ur-Shulgira, 1 lamb Lu-Nintu, 1 sheep Ur-Nanna, 3 sheep, 1 lamb KU.SHI.SU, 2 lambs Lugalmagure, 1 lamb Shulgi-aamu, delivered on day 10, received by Intaea. Via: Nanna-maba, scribe. Month X Year (named) " The ibex boat (of Enki) was fashioned." (Shu-Suen year 3).
